Beginner’s Guide: How To Walk In Heels

It’s true: walking in heels can be a tricky skill to master, but it’s one that everyone should be able to pull off. And while we’re not going to pretend it’s easy or even fun (it’s not), we can promise that with practice, walking in heels for women will become a lot easier!

Here are some tips for walking in heels like a pro!

1. First, try to find shoes that fit you well and aren’t too high. These will make it easier to balance and keep your posture up while walking.

2. Find your balance. Stand up straight and look ahead of you, not down (you’ll trip).

3. Keep your knees together and move your hips forward.

4. Walk like you normally would, but just do it on your tip-toes. This will help you get used to the feel of being on your tiptoes and will make it easier when actually walking around in heels.

5. Get your stride right. Put one foot in front of the other while keeping your knees bent. Keep the heel of your foot on the ground as much as possible, rather than lifting it off the floor with each step.

6. Don’t lean forward—keep your shoulders back and your head up! You’ll look more confident if you keep yourself upright.

7. Next, try walking with one foot forward and one foot back, as if you were trying to take long strides but still maintain good posture and balance in your body (just like when you walk normally). This will help give you an idea of how much weight should go where on each leg so that you’re not falling over or having trouble balancing yourself properly when wearing heels!

8. Finally, try practicing these steps with different styles of shoes until you find something that feels comfortable enough for everyday use but still makes sense for what kind of footwear you’d want if going out somewhere nice or fancy (such as a wedding).

Bottomline

The next time you go out with the girls, consider ditching the flats in favor of a pair of heels. If you feel more comfortable wearing flats, then that’s fine too. But hopefully now you have more incentive to wear those sparkly stilettos. In any case, don’t be afraid to make a fashion statement by wearing heels—when done right, it can look great!
