As Christmas looms, it can be pretty baffling when you’ve got to buy for children who have no idea what they want!
Luckily, presents that keep your kids active always go down a treat. I’ve never seen a kid get disappointed on Christmas day when they unwrap anything that’ll take them outdoors for some extra fun.
That’s why we love Skatehut for Christmas presents, they sell scooters, skateboards, kids skates, bikes, clothing, protection and all sorts of things that make cools gifts for active kids.
This year, we’ve got the two youngest kids some cool roller skates. I can’t wait to see their faces on Christmas day!
These are what we got for them:
SFR Vision II Quad Roller Skates – Tropical
Our littlest girl is going to be so excited to have her very own rollerskates. She’s nearly four, so quite small and let me tell you, it can be hard to get your hands on little children skates. These are perfect, I got them in a junior 11 (she wears a 10 but the site said to size up).
She’ll definitely be needing some protection for wearing these, but I have no doubt she’ll be able to work them. She’s unusually good at these sorts of activities and has great gross motor skills.
I think watching a very active big brother has given her a zest for adventure!
The skates themselves have a huge wow-factor.
They’re bright pink with pink, blue and yellow wheels and stoppers. The stars and the hearts on the heel are a cool design that adds a little something special.
To fasten, they are lace up with a velcro style top. She’ll need help putting them on, but in my experience, even if you’ve got kids that can do laces themselves, you always need to lend a little helping hand.
I can’t wait for her to find these under the tree on Christmas day.
SFR Vision II Quad Roller Skates – Blue
Believe it or not, these are the same model as the pink ones above, just in a another colourway. I love that you can get child skates in the same model but another colour. It means if you’ve got a few kids you can get them all the same type of skate but in a style they love.
These are an affordable range and the prices start at £34.95 which I think is great for beginners who just want fun.
Both sets of skates look the part for the kids that will be receiving them. If I could wrap up all their tastes in a rollerskate, I’d say that these styles fit in with both of their personalities and preferences.
This pair is for an older child, my son is 9. Even though he’s competent with his laces, I’ll probably still give him a hand so his feet and ankles get the proper support.
The kids are going to go wild for these when they unwrap them. I envisage some 6am roller skating on our front on Christmas morning. Let’s just hope it doesn’t snow!
