GIVEAWAY – Hungry Frogs Board Game

Ssh! Don’t mention the ‘H’ word!

That’s right, it’s the frogs that are hungry now! Someone needs to have a word with the zookeeper. At least the hippos had a bit of fat on them to keep them going, but these frogs are so starved that they’re willing to munch on red plastic balls. It’s inhumane.

Put all that to the back of your mind though, and you’ve got yourself a rollicking great game for the ages.

We all love to whip a board game out on Christmas Day. What’s not so great however, is tackling the 16-page instruction booklet after a couple of festive sherries.

No such problem with Hungry Frogs.

We all know how to play this one, and what’s more, even the littlest members of your family can get stuck in right away.

It’s almost primal. It seems we all have a built-in survival instinct to bash a plastic amphibian until all plastic balls are out of sight.

The balls in this instance are named ‘bug beads’. I’m not sure what a bug bead is, but come to think of it, I’ve no idea at all what those hippos used to eat either. Mud balls? Seems unlikely.

Each pack comes with three frogs and 18 bug beads, so there’s plenty of grub to go round (note the bug pun). Of course, you can still have a grand old time with just two players, or just a shameful one-player gorge on your own (I guess we could call it practice).

Despite the box’s claims of “hours of frog munching fun”, I don’t believe the frogs stretch far enough to practice cannibalism, so this should be a safe bet for young players. It’s suitable for ages 5+.

I don’t need to explain Hungry Frogs to you though. It’s the game we all know and love. If you fancy winning one of these to add as a big stocking filler this Christmas, then follow the simple steps below.

Oh, and don’t forget to keep popping back, as I’ll be posting regular giveaways on the run-up to Christmas. Good luck!
