Heelys have been on my radar as a present for my son for a long time. He’s outdoorsy, adventurous and loves anything that keeps him active. What’s more, he loves gaming – making the Heelys x Minecraft Pro 20 a perfect gift.
It’s such a great collaboration because both Heelys and Minecraft are iconic in their own right, so when the two worlds collide it’s something special. We’re really impressed with the Minecraft Heelys.
Heelys x Minecraft Pro 20 Review
Heelys have always had their design bang on. As a rule, they look like trendy skate shoes with their broader top and flat soles and the Minecraft collab is no different. The Minecraft creeper is printed in bright green, with a black backdrop. The soles are in a matching bright green underfoot, with the outer rubber in black to blend in with the rest of the shoe.
The design is really cool overall and gamers are going to go mad for the Minecraft print. My son thinks they’re awesome, and he’s an authority on this, I promise.
Heelys x Minecraft Pro 20 Fit
The advice for Heelys is to get your usual size, and I’d say that’s right. I’ve noticed some people say they fit a little small, but these seem spot on for my son. It might help that it is a wider shoe.
They’ve got a padded collar and tongue to help keep the fit comfy. Heelys x Minecraft Pro 20 has a canvas upper so there might be a bit of give with lots of wear but they’re a bit stiff fresh out the box.
How Use Heelys
Heelys are both shoes and one-wheeled rollerskates. They take a bit of practice to really get going, but honestly, it’s pretty easy to pick up. I’d always err on the side of caution and make sure you’re kitted out in safety gear. Heelys also advise this, so don’t skip it – it’s important to be safe!
As for turning them from shoes into skates, that’s an easy enough job too. They come with a tool and some instructions on what to do, but lots of videos exist on YouTube, if you’re more of a visual learner.
Are Heelys Worth It?
Heelys are great, and absolutely worth the money. I think these Minecraft Heelys make a great gift for any adventurous gamers out there. With Christmas coming up, they’re bound to be listed on some letters to Santa.
They do take a little bit of practice, so whoever unwraps them might not be an expert in gliding off on their Heelys straight away, but they’ll have the hang of it in no time.
Heelys come in lots of designs, so while this Minecraft pair is perfect for gamers, there are other designs out there for all different styles.
I’d say Heelys are well worth the money and a fantastic gift.
