This giveaway has now closed. The review’s still worth a read though. Keep an eye on our giveaways page in the future. There’s always stuff coming up!
Whether your chin’s previously been used to a tundra of clean-shaven skin, or a thriving facial forest, this Mo Bro’s beard kit review has you covered. It’s boxed up as a starter kit, but that just means that it includes a beard comb and scissors if you don’t already have some. I don’t think the balms and oil will realise if you’ve already had a beard for years.
I got myself one of these recently, and spoiler alert – it’s pretty good. Luckily for you, I also got an extra kit in just to give away to one lucky winner! Read on to find out how.

Mo Bro’s Beard Kit Review
I recently found myself off work, stuck in the house, and with no scope for socialising. Like most men in the same situation, I decided to grow a beard.
Why do we all do that? Well I guess that we all know that there’s a growing period between designer stubble and full beard that can only be described as the ‘drinking tinnies in the town centre’ look. Best to keep that out of the public eye.
I’ve usually had a bit of stubble on my face, but never really grew it out properly. Because of this, I had an issue with my facial hair, and particularly my moustache, sticking right out at 90 degrees instead of laying flat to my face.
How do you solve this? Well the internet says to either carry on growing until the sheer weight of the hair pulls it down, or to use beard balm and moustache wax.

As I had already grown two-inch long whiskers that were still entering the room a second before I did, I decided to give the wax and balm a go.
For all the marketed macho and manly images that bearded men try hard to sustain, beards don’t half need some grooming and TLC. Scented oils, balms, waxes, moisturisers and combs don’t quite seem as no-nonsense as a bar of soap and a Gillette to me, but nevertheless, they’re essential to maintaining any kind of beard.
With this in mind, I decided to eschew any pretence of manly manliness and opted for the vanilla and mango scented version. That said, it’s not too sweet or ‘feminine’ smelling. It smells great. I would eat my own face if I could.

For a newbie like me, the game-changing element of the kit was the oil. It instantly turned my coarse Brillo-like beard into a silk face mask. It really felt so much better, and started behaving itself too. Regular combings with the oil helped to tame my frizzy whiskers no end.
The beard balm is great for sorting out all those stray hairs that poke out, and helped to calm my moustache’s porcupine-like appearance too. The bundled moustache wax is a hard wax that sorts out really wayward tashes by gumming it down a bit, in a good way. Combed through properly, the wax won’t show and again, makes you smell like a cocktail from a dream holiday.
Elsewhere in the kit, you’ll find a really nice wooden comb, and a pair of small scissors (because there’ll always be one hair that doesn’t lay down). I use the comb daily. It’s a robust little thing that should last for years. Mo Bros could have easily decided to chuck a cheap plastic comb in this starter kit, so I’m pretty happy with the quality of this wooden one.

Fancy winning yourself one of these fancy kits? I’ve got you a vanilla and mango one for you too, so you can enjoy people sniffing your face as well!
